Finding cute coffee shops is definitely one of my favorite hobbies! I was laying in bed the other night thinking about how fun it would be to do a blog post on all my favorite coffee shops right  here in Birmingham. So here it is! My friend, Rachel Awtry, and I spent the day going to our top four favorite coffee shops and I documented it all below!

PS. For those of you who love instagram as much as I do, you will love these coffee shops. They are all instagramable locations! (Holla!!!)

Revelator Birmingham

1826 3rd Avenue North, Unit 101 Birmingham, AL 35203
Hours: 7:00AM – 5:00PM

It is located in the center of downtown Birmingham and they offer a variety of coffee drinks. I love getting their cinnamon honey flavoring in my coffee. One thing to note is that they do not have decaf options. This is not a problem for me because I am always needing a little extra caffeine. But I wanted to make sure I stated it, just in case that is a problem for someone else. They also serve donuts from Hero Donuts and We Have Doughnuts, as well as bakery items from Birmingham Breadworks. My favorite is the chocolate donut from Hero Donuts!! (see picture below)

Revelator Mountain Brook

291 Rele Street Mountain Brook, AL 35213
Hours: 7:00AM – 5:00PM

It is located in the town of Mountain Brook right next to the Grand Bohemian Hotel. They roast their coffee locally and you can also buy a bag of their coffee beans to take home with you. As far as the menu goes, they serve just about the same options at Revelator Birmingham, except they have a few more food options. My favorite is their ham and cheese croissant. Ya’ll, it is SO good!

Red Cat

1701 1st Ave S. Birmingham, AL 35233
MON-SAT: 7am – 8pm
SUN: 8am – 2pm
Phone: (205) 518-0779

It is located across the street from Railroad park. They serve coffee, smoothies and a wide variety of food for both breakfast and Lunch/Dinner. I have linked their full menu here. My favorite thing to get is their muffins and smoothies. One thing to note is that it is on the smaller side. So, it wouldn’t be the best place to study with a group of friends or host a meeting at.

Octane Uptown

2221 Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd. Birmingham, AL 35293
M-F: 6am-11pm
SAT-SUN: 7am-11pm
Phone (205) 545-5076

It is located in the uptown entertainment area and is connected to the Westin Hotel in Birmingham. Octane is a coffee shop during the day and a bar at night. Although I never go to the bar side, I like that it allows them to stay open late. It is one of the few coffee shops that you can go to and get coffee at nighttime. They offer a lot of coffee options, and my personal favorite is the iced chi tea latte with soy milk!
