My Home Office Reveal with Neat Method The Container Store

If you’ve been following along on AshleyTerk, you know that David and I have had a busy year and a half! We found out we were pregnant, moved to LA, spent a year on the West Coast, then moved across the country to Charlotte! Ever since moving back to the East Coast, we have been trying to settle into our new house (and life) with a baby!

Life lately has been such an adventure in the best way, but it has also been absolute chaos at times! Moving everything you own and getting situated in a new space is NO JOKE. But, what helped me get through the move was knowing that we were majorly upgrading our living space! After living in a duplex in LA, I knew it was going to be life-changing to have more space in our own house in North Carolina. We would have a room for guests, a yard for Zola, and an office for me!

After 3+ years of working from home, I have never had an office space, and I really needed one! Working from home is amazing for flexibility and freedom, but it can be difficult to set boundaries and stay organized. Without a dedicated space to store things I could never find important papers or products, and it was so frustrating. 

Here are some before photos of my office space. It was full of packages and junk and had no storage solutions in place. The room doesn’t have any doors so I would see the piles of boxes every time I walked in the house…Trust me when I say it was chaos! 

I knew I needed major help, and I had heard incredible testimonies about Neat Method! So, I reached out to them to help me plan the space for maximum functionality! Upfront, I let Neat Method know that I wanted to use shelving and storage products from the Container Store! I have used the Container Store’s elfa closet system in the other parts of our house (we even did Ryser’s closet with them!!) and the elfa system really is life-changing. Of course, I wanted my office to be beautiful as well as organized. I created this Pinterest board to collect all of my inspiration in one place. I was really inspired by warm, neutral tones, natural elements, and metallic accents! I wanted the space to feel bright but also welcoming and I LOVE the way it turned out so much!
