Every year, the Nordstrom Anniversary sale is a huge opportunity to stock up on basics, splurge on high-end items, and get Christmas shopping started! To help you prepare for this can’t-miss event, I’m giving you all the details below! From Early Access dates, to the catalog, to some items I already know you will love! I will also be picking my favorites in the areas of fashion, beauty, baby, and home decor over the coming weeks.
I wanted to add this before I jump into details: it’s okay if you can’t shop the sale. Yes, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has tons of items for great prices, and it’s a great time to save money, BUT sometimes there’s no room in your budget! I remember hearing about the sale our first year of marriage, and feeling left out because we were on a newlywed budget. There is a time and a season for everything, and it is more than okay to not be in a spending season right now. It is just that: a season. Maybe you can jump in next year or in a few years! It is so much better to be wise about your money than to overspend. Whatever season you’re in, I feel you and I hope I can provide some insight into how to work your way through it. 🙂

What is the Nordstrom Anniversary sale?
Brand new Fall and Summer items are discounted from 40-75% off! These items have never been sold before and will go back up to regular prices once the sale is over.
When is the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019?
The sale runs from July 18 – August 4. But, all Nordstrom cardholders get exclusive access to shop the sale starting on July 12 — a full week early! You can start shopping as soon as the sale goes live at this link!
How do I get early access to the Nordstrom Anniversary sale?
To shop the Early Access period of the sale, you have to have a Nordstrom retail or VISA card. The retail card can only be used at Nordstrom, but the VISA can be used anywhere just like a regular credit card. Neither card has an annual fee and both allow you to accumulate points for each dollar that is spent that add up to points toward a Nordstrom gift card. When you sign up, you even get $40 worth of points with your first purchase! Be sure to sign up asap so you will have access for the opening of the sale on the 12th. It’s not too late to apply!
How do I shop the Nordstrom Anniversary sale?
You can shop in-store, but the best way is actually to shop online! Online is SO much better because they have a much bigger selection and offer free shipping and returns (omg?!). For all my girls in Alabama (and other small towns), I know that you might not have a Nordstrom near you, so shopping the sale online will be your only option. But, trust me, it’s the best option! You can return any items you don’t like for free by mail or you can drop them off at your nearest Nordstrom Rack. For anyone that has a local Nordstrom, you can shop online and pick up in-store if you can’t wait for your items to come in the mail. Most stores offer curbside delivery so you don’t even have to go inside or worry about finding parking.
Be sure to shop early! If you are interested in an item, it’s better to shop now and return later with their free return option. Each year, everything sells out SO fast! One of the smartest tips I’ve learned is to buy an item even if my size is sold out! If you really love something, buy it in any size you can find, then exchange it for the correct size when they restock in two weeks or two months.
