I love makeup. I am NOT a pro by any means, but I do love testing out new products and learning new tricks on how to apply certain products. A lot of you keep asking me to do a Spring makeup tutorial which is very sweet and honestly makes my day to read your kind comments and DM’s. You guys are the reason why I blog and keep doing what I am doing, so it’s encouraging to see that there are real people out there engaging with me. ( So… if you want to comment below or go share some love on my Instagram, I mean… I wouldn’t hate it! haha) No, but seriously, I want to get to know you guys more, so if you have any fun ideas on how I can be more personal and engage with you guys, please let me know!!
Whoops, got a little carried away. Back to what I was saying about the Spring makeup tutorial. To do a makeup tutorial, I need a youtube channel and a particular video camera. Which are two things I do not have, but I am working on it! Setting up a youtube channel is at the top of my TO DO list, and I am starting to save up (hello, newlywed on a budget here) to buy the video camera I need. In the meantime, I wanted to give you guys at least all the details of what makeup products I use. That way, by the time I make my makeup tutorial, you will already have all the products and will be able to apply them along with me! It’s a WIN WIN!

What’s in your makeup bag this month?

Hey Ashely! I’m moving to Birmingham for college at Samford this fall, and I loved your post about all the coffee spots you love in bham. I would love any recommendations you have for the city as a whole! I’m planning on visiting highlands church on my quest to find my “home” church (away from home) and I know you go there so I though I’d mention;). Thanks so much!
Been looking forward to this post for a while! Really good selection of all-around great products. The Tartelette in Bloom palette has been on my radar for months. I’ll probably grab it the next time Tarte does a 30% off sale! MAC Sunbasque seems like a unsung hero. I never heard people talking about it. I have Becca Champagne Pop from the Champagne Face palette. For whatever reason, I rarely use it!
My makeup lately has been just about the whole face except eyes. I can’t be bothered to blend eyeshadow, line my eyes, curl lashes, and apply mascara so I’ve just upped my bronzer & blush instead!
My current makeup rotation includes:
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind undereye concealer
Tarte Double Duty powder foundation
TheBalm Balm Desert bronzing blush
MAC Sweet Vision blush (limited edition)
TheBalm Mary-Lou Manizer highlighter
Revlon ColorStay Dark Brown eyebrow pencil
Rimmel Spice lip liner
Brushes/Tools:
Real Techniques Expert Face (concealer)
RT Multitask (powder)
Elf Complexion (bronzer)
RT Blush (blush)
RT Setting (highlighter)
Urban Decay sharpener (although I want a different one to separate lips & eyes)
My question is how long does it take for your daily makeup routine? I love all of these products, but it honestly overwhelms me to think about using this many everyday! I have a six month old so my beauty routine is a lot shorter these days? Soo my other question is what would you recommend are absolute essentials for everyday, keeping in mind that I have limited time? Looking forward to your makeup tutorials!!❤
I Definitely do NOT use all these products every day. Actually, most days I don’t even wear makeup at all. These are just all the makeup products in my makeup bag. When I do a full face of makeup I do use all these products!
What camera would you recommend for YouTube? I also want to start one but I’m clueless!
Love this post! Starting a YouTube channel has always been on my go-do list what gear would you recommend?
Would love if you shared your skincare routine!
